So we are now in Guelph! I cannot think of another place I would like to spend the last few days of summer. Not only did Clarke go to university here, but so did our son, who is now married and settled in to adult life. He and his wife are the proud parents of a six week old son. That makes me and Clarke grandparents! What a thrill. Today, as I was holding him for the tenth time today, I thought to myself, "There is no other place I would rather be right now."
There is a mystical bond, I believe, between grandchildren and their grandparents. Certainly in my life I always felt unconditional love from my grandparents. I hope that when MacArthur is older he will feel the same about us.
And how about the last day of August? That means that the school year will begin soon in Ontario. To all my teacher friends, all the best with your plans as your "new year" begins.
Until then,
Bee Rich
