What Will Be, Will Be

Just a little R and R with Child #1 and Child #2

          Today was a nice day.  Not only did I reconnect with a friend for lunch, but I attended a job interview in the afternoon.  Both events involved a little driving and both proved very satisfying.  One involved a person who knows me quite well, while the other involved people who do not know me, yet. One event was informal, while the other was quite formal. 
          As I write this blog entry I am thinking how very fortunate I am to have these types of opportunities in my life.  My friend provided on-the-spot feedback to me as an individual and I discovered that we have more in common that I first thought.  I did not get on-the-spot feedback for the interview and I won't find out the result of the interview until early next week.  What I do know is that in both situations I was the best I could be.  
          I look forward to meeting my friend again soon, and continue having some face to face time in person.  I also look forward to hearing about the outcome of this interview.  Whether or not I start full time work on November 7 is now out of my control.  As Doris Day so appropriately put it during my childhood, "Que sera, sera! Whatever will be, will be.  The future's not ours to see, que sera sera!"  More wise words to live by!
