So this has been an eventful week...

- a new room mate (see above and below)
- a visit to the Visa office (more to come)
- a mid-week swim (hopefully more to follow)
- a sad good-bye at work (tear)
- a late lunch on Thursday afternoon (laughter)
- two Thursday night tear jerking movies (back-to-back chick-flicks)
- an early morning grocery run (avoiding the heat)
- a shopping trip to Avenues (Friday morning ritual)
- time spent with a friend (Friday morning ritual)
- a shopping stop at Pet Zone
- Skype-less for a few days (hubby traveling)
- # 1 son makes Facebook contact (hubby's first stop)
- #1 daughter makes Facebook contact (awaiting hubby's arrival)
- #1 friend makes email contact (sad news)
- countdown continues with less than 20 school days left (how can that be?)
- time to catch on blog reading and posting (The Pearl Curriculum, This is It, Them's My Sentiments, Bee Rich)
This post is all about the cat, which is really just a 8 week old kitten. Not sure if it is a boy or a girl...but he/she has already taken over the apartment and a big portion of my heart. It arrived in the Kindergarten playground on Monday morning. It was rescued by my good friend, Em- who happens to be just a bit of a crazy cat lady (she only has one cat). So here is a word by word copy of the emails, texts and Facebook Messages she sent me...
EM- you should see this kitty I found
its sooooooo sweet
there is something special about it
you need a cat!!!
come see if you can
ME- Where is it?
I do need a cat, but I may have trouble getting myself into Canada, let alone a kitty! Should know by tomorrow.
EM- you could keep it here with Lena for the summerI would even help pay!!!it's outside of my class. I am thinking of bringing him home to bathe him tonightbarb he is so loving!!!! he just laid on my lap and slept
I already cried about him

ME- Okay. You got me…So, I did want to go swimming today after school. May I come an me him/her afterwards?
EM- im going to see if emma can take him home....then I will get him from emmahe is sooooo sweet at least maybe you can foster until we can find someone???

Later that same afternoon:
EM- (texts)- Are you at the gym? The Princess has a name!!!! Charlotte Elizabeth Diana!!!
ME- No not going have to go to bank and then buy kitty stuff. That will be her name too!
EM-We have everything we need You don't need anything
ME- Ok I still need to go to bank
EM- OK then come over!!!
And the rest is history...I met the kitten, already named Charlie (boy or girl). He/She is small and soft and purry. Long story short, Charlie stole my heart and he/she is now safely living in Flat 9. And yes, the happy news is Lena has agreed to take care of him/her this summer and by August he/she will be a medium sized kitty when I arrive back.
